Do you know the answers?

4 questions most hotels cannot answer

Most hotels can say how the month is going. Fewer can say whether it is better than last year — on every figure, in every period, without doing the maths themselves.

1

Is revenue heading up or down compared with last year?

2

Are guests cancelling more than last year?

3

Are we getting more per room sold than last year?

4

Are we selling more or fewer nights than last year?

This is what you see

Every key figure, every period — in one table

The same figures for year to date, the month, the rest of the year, the full year and the last twelve months — each with its own comparison against last year.

Periods SiloStay · demo data
Actual revenue €3,579,923 ▲ 3.4 %
Room nights 22,353 ▲ 3.7 %
Occupancy 68.0 % ▲ 2.4 pp
RevPAR €99 ▲ 4.9 %
Illustration with demo data (SiloStay). The real module shows your own figures.
  • ✓Five periods side by side — year to date, the month, rest of year, full year and rolling 12 months
  • ✓Comparison against last year — on every single figure — in per cent or percentage points, whichever fits
  • ✓Revenue, rate and occupancy — actual revenue, ADR, RevPAR, occupancy and revenue per guest night
  • ✓On the books for the rest of the year — what is booked, what is expected and the average per booking
  • ✓Recommendations when the figures warrant them — nine fixed questions that only speak up when the period’s own figures give cause

Questions and answers

What hotels ask us

ADR = værelsesomsætning ÷ solgte nætter i perioden; belægning = solgte nætter ÷ disponible nætter; RevPAR = værelsesomsætning ÷ disponible nætter. Foldes ud i «Sådan beregnes» på siden.
